Zone Contractors Sponsor-a-Bed

Zone Contractors are extremely happy to be sponsoring a bed at Tabor House for a year.

Tabor House is a unique accommodation project that gives people experiencing homelessness a brighter future. They work with each guest through their strength-based mentoring programme to help them achieve goals whilst supporting them into employment and independent living.

Homelessness is a major issue, 1 in 200 people in the UK are homeless… but in Birmingham alone, this figure is 1 in 73.

During the pandemic, the people at Tabor house opened their doors 24-hours a day to support and accommodate homeless people within our city.

The Covid-19 pandemic saw 140 people in Birmingham offered emergency accommodation, but the amount and types of support continue to change, and many are back out on the streets or facing the winter at risk of homelessness.

iShelter in partnership with Father Hudson’s Care, do not receive any Government funding and rely heavily on public donations. With charitable trusts and other funding scarce, as a result of the pandemic, private donations have never been more important.
