Fun at Brownhills West Primary School
We had an inspiring visit to Brownhills West Primary School recently, where our Operations Manager, Aidan Munnelly, made construction careers come alive for the eager students of years 4, 5, and 6. 👷♀👷
Aidan brought some exciting tools along—Zone’s trusty VR Headset and a remote control excavator, giving students a hands-on chance to ‘operate’ machinery and delve into the technological future of construction.
He engaged with students, answering their questions about construction careers, and tied their favourite subjects and video games to potential roles in the industry.
Thanks to Jon McNamee’s excellent hosting, the event welcomed professionals from a range of fields including healthcare, media, and policing, helping to broaden the children’s perspectives and spark new aspirations.
It was great to meet up with George Dyer of Safejawz, who provided enriching discussions on his industry-leading mouthguards and entrepreneurship.
It was particularly inspiring to see the enthusiasm among young female students, many of whom were already envisioning a future in construction.
