Being a ‘Dragon’ at Carwarden House Community School

We had an amazing time last week volunteering as a ‘dragon’ at Balfour Beatty plc’s work experience event at Carwarden House Community School in Camberley! 👷‍♂✨

Our operations manager, Aidan Munnelly, represented Zone Contractors Ltd and brought along our VR headset to showcase the exciting technological advancements shaping the future of construction. It was fantastic to see the students engaging with the technology and having a bit of fun along the way! 🎮👓

The day was incredibly rewarding – we had the chance to speak with these inspiring students about their future aspirations, and it was clear that they are ready to take on whatever comes their way.

Big thanks to Carly Robson for organizing this social value event and for letting us be a part of such an impactful experience. It’s always great to give back to the community and support the next generation! 🙌

On the day we were joined by Oliver Byrne & Jalilah Chesshire from Balfour Beatty’s NEAR Scheme, Craig Matthews (Balfour Beatty’s Drone Operator) & Jay H. from HW Martin (Traffic Management) Limited
