Team Effort at Wildlife Aid Foundation

Our team had the privilege of volunteering at The Wildlife Aid Foundation, located in Leatherhead near the M25 J10 Project. This incredible charity operates one of the UK’s busiest wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centres, playing a crucial role in protecting and nurturing our local wildlife.

Our volunteers rolled up their sleeves to clear weeds and brambles, helping prepare the land for the charity’s ambitious plans to expand their site. The Wildlife Aid Foundation’s vision includes creating a 20-acre visitor centre with classrooms and a café, offering a wonderful community resource to educate people about their essential work.

It was inspiring to meet Winston Holland, who shared more about the charity’s exciting future plans. The new visitor centre promises to be a hub for learning and engagement, shining a spotlight on the vital conservation work carried out by the Foundation.

A big shoutout to the fantastic team effort from Caitlin Hayes and Aidan Munnelly representing Zone, George Sutch from L Lynch Plant Hire & Haulage, Christina Donaghey from VGC Group, and the Environmental team members from Balfour Beatty plc.

Special thanks to Ellie Chapman for organising such a meaningful day. The Wildlife Aid Foundation is making a real difference, and it was an honour to play a small part in supporting their journey towards an even brighter future.

We’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact this new site will bring to the community and beyond!
